Change device DNS.
On your terms.
Download an inspectable local script. It asks you to choose an adapter, backs up the current DNS configuration and changes it only after your explicit confirmation and operating-system permission.
How to run & restore ↗
Windows: Review the downloaded .ps1 file in a text editor, open PowerShell as Administrator and run the script with -Action Apply -Provider Cloudflare. It lists adapters for you to choose. To undo, run the same script with -Action Restore and select the same adapter.
macOS: Review the .sh file, then run bash dns-switch-macos.sh apply cloudflare from the download folder. To undo, run bash dns-switch-macos.sh restore. Both flows request confirmation and may require an administrator password.
Other providers: Google or Quad9 on Windows; google or quad9 on macOS. Existing DNS settings are saved locally. This does not affect every device on your router or increase ISP bandwidth.
